Currently working at Blizzard Entertainment on Overwatch. Previously, through the U.S. Digital Corps, I served in the Federal Government Federal cloud modernization × Through the U.S. Digital Corps, I embedded with USGS and supported systems shared with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, modernizing cloud platforms behind American science, wildlife conservation, and biological monitoring. What I delivered Modernized applications: Replaced oversized EC2 and debug-mode hosting with Gunicorn services in hardened, multistage ECS/Fargate containers, making responses about 4x faster while adding autoscaling, staging, automated deployment, and rapid rollback. Removed cloud waste: Audited idle EC2 and EBS resources, safely retired unused infrastructure, right-sized active workloads, and removed redundant S3 staging from backup transfers. Protected scientific data: Automated compressed, incremental multi-terabyte CED and NABat data pipelines to ScienceBase, plus recovery-ready AMI/EBS backups, certificate monitoring, least-privilege scheduling, and failure alerts. Made systems observable: Streamed application logs, database metrics, health checks, and alerts into CloudWatch and an authenticated Cognito dashboard, replacing a workflow where engineers had to SSH into servers, export logs, and email them to stakeholders. Enabled safer delivery: Added infrastructure, code, secret, dependency, and container scanning, eliminated known application CVEs, and gave developers repeatable deployments without weakening federal security controls. Estimated annualized impact cloud + data savings  +  reclaimed engineering capacity  ≈  $300K+ / year Rounded estimate based on public cloud pricing and modeled operational time, not agency-certified savings.
